Maine Bucket Announces Participation in Cut Your Own Christmas Tree Sale

Maine Bucket Co is pleased to announce their participation with the Auburn and Lewiston Breakfast Rotary Club in a "cut your own" Christmas tree sale on December 12, 2009.

Doug and Susan Boyd the owners of Maine Bucket Co grow trees on land next to the production factory. The Boyd's feel that their effects in growing trees helps regenerate some of the wood used in production of the wooden products the company offers.

The Christmas trees are donated to the Rotary Club that Doug belongs to and are sold to the public in a fund raiser. Club members and company employees volunteered to run the hay rides, serve hot dogs & cookies, cut and handle trees. Combined with a small craft fair it is a fun family day for all.

The Auburn and Lewiston Breakfast Rotary Club is a part of Rotary International. Rotary International is a worldwide organization with 1.2 million members whose motto is "Service Above Self". Rotary may be best known for its effort to eradicate polio worldwide.

The funds raised from selling the trees are used primarily to support local charities. Maine Bucket Co is a for profit business with 35 employees serving the home & garden and display customers across the USA.
